Abrasion and wear will increase the gap between the rolls, this will decrease the equipment efficiency, then energy consumption is constantly increasing, and may ultimately lead to equipment maintenance shutdown.

In order to solve the wear problem and improve the operation rate of equipment, the most direct and effective way to improve the wear resistance of the work-piece is to choose different materials of wear-resistant parts, or using a variety of processes, such as welding, spraying, etc. Thus, hardfacing technology obtained the considerable development and has become one of the most feasible and economic method to enhance the working performance of metal materials.
