With the popularized application of hardfacing wear resistant materials in cement industry, it is very important to know how to select wear resistant steel plate according to characteristics of its components.

1.Features of base plate materials
Materials and heat treatment f base plate usually has big impact on its applications. Such as hammers that made of high manganese steel, why there are different wear resistance performance in the same conditions ? As material components and water toughening treatment are very important factors, wear resistant hardfacing can only improve its use performance, but can not change base material characteristics.
2.Medium
Flow materials and atmosphere is divided into three states: solid, liquid and gas.
The main consideration for solid are the impact wear, abrasive wear, scratch and temperature effect, besides these, the liquid also need to focus on erosion wear, corrosion and sealing, gas needs to pay attention to the gas pressure, the gaseous cavitation etc.
3.The type of wear materials
Wear materials have five different types, there are metal, minerals, rubber, fluid type, mixed, they have different wear degree and wear mechanism on the components.
4.Part load
According to the use of components, the stress state can be divided into: low stress, secondary stress, constant stress, variable stress, high stress. Stress condition can affects the service life of parts directly .
