In the first three quarters of 2014, domestic renewable non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum, lead, zinc) total output is 7370000 tons, almost the same level as last year. Compared with the same amount of primary metal production, energy saving 16500000 tons of standard coal, water saving more than 1100000000 cubic meters, power saving 51000000000 kwh, carbon dioxide emissions 57000000 tons were reduced.

Renewable non-ferrous metals refer to nonferrous and its alloy refined by scrap metals come from waste metal products and industrial production process. At present, renewable non-ferrous metals industry is in a relatively difficult period of transition, and still has to faces three major difficulties in order to realize a stable growth and steady development, main shows in scrap copper and  aluminum prices drop away for a long term at home and abroad, raw material is insufficient, economic slowdown led to sluggish downstream demand, the majority small and medium-sized enterprises are difficult to survive and has very small profit margin, financial pressure is very high, then affect the normal production and operation.

It is reported that, in order to strengthen the renewable non-ferrous metals exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad, China nonferrous metal industry association will host the fourteenth session of renewable metals International Forum and Exhibition will be held in Guangzhou in November, information about the forum are renewable metals industry trade and services, renewable metals industry energy saving and environmental protection technology and equipment, application of recycled materials.
